Irish Sugar (Greencore)

Relocation of Vessels from Carlow to Mallow Sugar Plants
MSL Project MSL were awarded the contract for the dismantling of varying sized vessels in the Carlow Sugar Plant and the subsequent transportation and reinstallation of these vessels at the Mallow Sugar Plant. This included responsibility for all other subcontracts regarding cranage, transport and logistics as well as liaising with civil and statutory authorities.
This project was especially significant as it marked the largest single movement of loads by weight, length and volume by roadway in Ireland.

Glanbia Ingredients, Belview, Waterford, Ireland

Project Purple 2014
MSL Engineering Ltd. was appointed the Mechanical Contractor for the New Dryer Building and New Powder Handling & Packaging Building at Glanbia Ingredients new facility, Belview, Waterford in 2014. The project scope included fabricating over 1,000 isometric piping drawings in our offsite fabrication facility in Cork during a six month pipe fabrication schedule. This 8,000 metres of pipework was delivered to site and installed over an eight month installation schedule. Pipe diameter ranged from 15mm (0.5”) – 450mm (18”).

Various equipment installation was also in MSL’s scope, such as vacuum pumps, pack off units, packaging lines, stainless steel platforms, pre-gassing filler units and palletiser units.

MSL completed the project safely and on schedule peaking at 40 personnel onsite.

Irish Distillers Limited, Midleton, Cork, Ireland

Irish Distillery Expansion 2012/2013
MSL were the principle mechanical contractor for construction of the new brewhouse and new stillhouses at Irish Distillers, Midleton in 2012/2013. This included the fabrication of 2,500 piping isometric drawings over a 6 month fabrication schedule, installation and testing of 16,000 metres of process pipework ranging in diameter from 15mm (0.5”) to 1050mm (42”) over an 11 month pipe installation schedule. MSL installed 220 items of equipment including 6 distillation columns (36m high, 40tonne each) and 3 copper stills (20tonne each). Subcontracts included HVAC, insulation and NDE. MSL completed the project safely and on schedule peaking at 60 personnel onsite.

Franciscan Well Brewery, Cork, Ireland

Brewery Expansion 2015
MSL Engineering Ltd. has been awarded the contract to install a new brewery for the expansion of the Franciscan Well Brewery in Cork, Ireland.

The project scope of work includes the installation of equipment, vessels, skids and vendor packages, fabrication and installation of process, utility & package interconnecting pipework.
